Women’s health

As women we have some specific health care requirements during our life. I always say that a woman’s physiology is like a Formula One car – it needs to be finetuned (intricate interplay of all the hormones, circulation and soft tissue tension) and it needs to continuously adapt to changes on the racetrack of life (i.e. changes from puberty to pregnancy to menopause) only then can you expect high performance 😉

Osteopathic treatment can support the health of the reproductive system by balancing tension in the organs, improving blood flow to the organs and decreasing congestions in the pelvis.

Whether it is period pain, pre-pregnancy balancing, improving adaptation to a growing pregnancy or supporting organ health post-partum or during menopause there is a role for Osteopathy alongside midwives, obstetricians/gynaecologists, pelvic floor physios and other professionals.

I have a special interest and postgraduate training in women’s specific healthcare and am more than happy to discuss any questions you might have with regards to women’s health.
