“You are the most important person in your life.” J.P. Barral
You’re here because:
- Your pain and tension stop you from doing the things you love
- Some days, getting out of bed is a slog
- Looking after yourself has been lost in the daily grind and you want more than medication to support your health
- Your body has given up on you and you have given up on your body
As an Osteopath I hear you! I feel your pain and frustration and I can help.
My role is to look at your whole system and enhance how well your body does what it does.
A firm background in science with a Master of Science in Molecular Biology (University of Bern, 1998) introduced me to the wonder of individual cells and the intricacies of how the immune system works. But I wanted more!
After emigrating to New Zealand with my husband and an 18-month-old son, I wanted to apply the lessons from the study of the very small to the human body as a whole. Osteopathy fitted that brief and I graduated in 2009 from the Master of Osteopathy programme at Unitec, NZ, after 5 years of full-time study.
In my 10 years of clinical practice I have gone on to study extensively with the Barral Institute, where osteopathic principles are applied to the internal organ system. Currently I am studying towards a postgraduate certificate in women’s health at Auckland University.
All my studies have been geared towards one thing: understanding as much as I can about the human body. Working with me will give you the tools to improve your mobility, balance and strength, as well as the skills to work with your body and not against it.
